I know this document. It doesn't work for me. I want to use the add:
method of an NSArrayController. This is very important. Please don't
refer to the same docs again. I read this more then one time. Or you
can write how it can work.
Any AppKit tasks (refreshing TableViews etc.) are performed "after"
method -makeInvoice.

Again, this is found in exactly the same document I've been
referring you to. Please READ THE DOCS.

ok. thanks again. I'm new to CoreData. I have another question. I
spent my past 2,5 hours to resolve this problem
(invoiceArrayController is a NSArrayController):
- (IBAction)makeInvoice:(id)sender
{
[invoiceArrayController add:self];
NSManagedObject *invoice = [what comes here? How can I get the
last inserted object????];
NSLog(@"Invoice nr: %@",[invoice valueForKey:@"nr"]);
}
best regards,

I read the documentations. What I don't have understand is, if
you have an array with 2000 objects, for each ArrayController
must be allocated at least the pointers to the "contentobjects".
2000 additional pointers, am i right? I meant this allocation.
Re-read the docs, then, you missed something important. :-)
Specifically, the "Faulting" section here:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/
CoreData/Articles/cdFaultingUniquing.html
Also re-read the "Faulting Behavior" section here:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/
CoreData/Articles/cdPerformance.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/
TP40003468-SW2
Once you've finished that and you have time for more, re-read
the entire Core Data Programming Guide. It'll save you a lot of
headaches and wasted effort, believe me. I've read it six or
seven times, front to back, and I still have to reference it
sometimes when it's been awhile since I've touched on the subject.
