I have probably 25 instances/versions of my app sprinkled throughout my hard
drive. When I doubleclick one of its documents on my Mac, I get the
"explosion" animation, but then the Finder is reactivated. By putting an
NSLog in -applicationDidFinishLaunching of my app's latest rev in
/Applications, I can see that it is not launched.
On a Mac that only has one instance of my app installed, doubleclicking a
document launches my app, no problems.
The Apple document "Launch Services Concepts and Tasks" makes no mention of
what happens when multiple instances of an application are installed.
Apparently, Mac OS behavior under these conditions is not defined, so I
should not worry about it?
