PDFView layz loading

Hi,

I'm loading a PDFDocument into a PDFView on application startup. The user should be able to print the pdf document "without" opening the window containing the PDFView. Unfortunatly this is not possible. I see only a gray box when I not open the window containing the PDFView first. What is the reasin and how can I force a PDFView to load its content.
