SVR shouldn't be interfering with the operation of your program. If it is then there is likely: 1) a bug in your progrem 2) a bug in the OS

If it's the former, fix it :)
If it's the latter, file a bug with Apple.

In case it's the latter, the OP should also provide some sample code to show how to trigger the "problems" (probably some stripped down version of the problematic code in question). That sample code could then also be used itself to detect whether the SVR is enabled :-)
