although i guess you will gain -some- performance when capturing the
display, i doubt it will be a critical improvement.
and you seem to presume that when NOT capturing the display, you
don't have the benefit of hardware acceleration, but openGL can run
perfectly fast and smooth in a windowed view.
if it is anyway alot more convenient to use a fullscreen window,
maybe just try that first?
