Hi All,

I've a specific requirement to get list of applications installed in the Mac. In windows , i'm able to access the list of applications using Windows Registry. Is there any similar way in mac to get list of available applications in Mac using Registry.

I've seen the System Profiler application , which is showing all the applications installed in the machine. Any pointers on how this application is getting the information about applications , kernel extensions and frameworks .

         Please provide any pointers/suggestions to solve this problem.
