That is a very broad question and not easily answered especially not
knowing what you do and don't know about Cocoa, Objective-C, etc.
I strongly encourage you to stop working on a product and step back
... buy one of the very good books on Cocoa development and read it
cover to cover. I highly recommend "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X" by
Aaron Hillegass [1]. Work on all of the example outlined and attempt
the "extra credit" items.
Also review the many resources Apple provides...
<http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/GettingStarted/GS_Cocoa/index.html>
<http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/API_Fundamentals/Cocoa-fund-date.html>
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/DesignGuidelines-date.html>
Doing this will save you a LOT of time when you being to do actual
development... for one it will get you more comfortable with
Objective-C, Cocoa, and Xcode which will make asking questions on this
list and understanding the answers that much easier and quicker.
