My question is what tehcnologies should we use on Mac to help us
address Windoze and other U*ix platforms. And if possible not in C++.
Your best bet for a cross-platform application is likely to be Java.
Specifically, "vanilla" Java using the standard Java UI toolkit, not
the weird Cocoa-Java bridge that Apple maintained for a while. As
this really doesn't have anything to do with Cocoa anymore - Cocoa
being a Mac-only thing - I'll stop here. Any replies should probably
go off-list somewhere, as they're off-topic on cocoa-dev.
