I agree with the others that you probably don't need to know this
kind of stuff to get going and it's probably best not
to spend a lot of time on it until you understand a bit more about
how things work in general.
That said, the O'Reilly book _Building Cocoa Applications_ ,
(Garfinkel and Mahoney)
has what you want. Look at the Tiny.m program in chapter 4. (If you
can find a copy - I don't
know if it is still in print.)
