Setting focus at runtime to a specific control?

  • Subject: Setting focus at runtime to a specific control?

Hi ~

I just spent an hour trying to figure out how to set focus to one of many NSTextFields depending on the flow of my program.

This seems to be unnecessarily hard judging by the lengthy threads I came across and I did not see it answered anywhere (so far).

In particular, many people incorrectly? recommend makeFirstResponder which seems to work only to set the initial focus upon displaying a window.

Any working ideas someone?

TIA,
Kai
