The latter part of that document seems to be in conflict with a two- year-old thread from quartz-dev. Apple engineers at that time pointed out that using AppKit in conjunction with a captured display may not work (e.g. screen updates may fail).


I'll file a documentation bug this weekend so this can be cleared up.
