I like the analogy. I mix C++ & Cocoa. The Cocoa is the UI, and the C++ is
the data management & communications, and your analogy is a pretty good
description of the differences between the two areas of the same
application.

Of course my reasons for sticking with C++ for a big part of the app were
much more technical & complex & based on long, hard thought about how I
wanted things structured. Yet, there's the analogy, and it fits ;-)
