The overridden mouseDown event in my subclass of NSPopUpButton posts a
notification with no problem, it just doesn't like mouseUp.

I've since discovered through looking at the hierarchy that NSControl
actions unless setContinuous etc., gets called once the menu selection
has taken place.

It's a no brainer that's taken most of today :)

No Subclass required.
