another NSImage question

  • Subject: another NSImage question

Hi All,

Here is another NSImage question. I've got a program that can open an
image file. For example, I can drag an image from a web page to the
application icon in the dock to open the image file (a temporary
internet file). This mostly works except if there is an extra dot in
the filename like "dj.gomlqiyr.jpg". The image file is not accepted,
and the application icon in the dock does not darken. Apparently, the
file extension isn't extracted correctly.

Now if I drag the image to the desktop first and then drag the image
file to the application icon in the dock, it does work even with the
extra dot.

Note that Preview in the dock behaves exactly the same way.

Any idea how to resolve this problem?

Oscar
