Feedback requested - Use of QuickTime movies in the Core Animation documentation

  • Subject: Feedback requested - Use of QuickTime movies in the Core Animation documentation

Several books in the Leopard Core Animation documentation suite make some use of QuickTime movies to illustrate animation concepts that are challenging to do using only still images.

Specifically these books:

 - Animation Overview
 - Core Animation Programming Guide
 - Animation Types and Timing Programming Guide

I'd be curious to get any feedback (off-list of course) about the use of QT movies in the documentation. Is it useful? How would you feel about more? Is additional production useful in the movie (i.e. titles that indicate when states change, etc..)

This information will my evaluate the use of these movies in my documents, and I can pass along recommendations to other writers in Tech Pubs.

Thanks

Scott
