I moved my IB2 plugins to IB3 in August. It actually was a pretty quick process, and the new plugin API is great. I did try to code so that I would have an IB2 and IB3 target for my SDK, but in the end I just ended up giving up in the IB2 plugin. It's an internal SDK we use at my workplace, and the other people who used the SDK where on AppleSeed anyway, so I just had them move to IB3.

I think the best part about IB3 is that when creating your object's inspector, it just stacks on top of all the inspectors for your subclasses. That was one thing that really annoyed me about IB2.

I have not yet ported any of my IB palettes to IB 3 yet. I attempted to do so with very early releases of Leopard, but there were too many bugs, so I held off.

But, I'm going to start that task this coming week. I'm no expert on palettes, but I'll try to post any hints or tips I learn along the way.

My palettes contain container and non-container views, controls, cells, custom matrixes and formatters. Also, I make heavy use of custom bindings. If you have similar palettes under development, hopefully we can work out any kinks should we hit them.
