I reset my password with just letters and numbers, 10 characters in both username and password. Even deleted my keychain items for connect.apple.com. Re-entered the info and I still get the failure. Besides numerous "Security message buffer overflowed" from various .mac syncing processes, nothing to note in the logs.
Any ideas?
