Another question about Disabling Energy Saving mode

  • Subject: Another question about Disabling Energy Saving mode

Hi,

My application requires that the system does not go to
sleep mode. That can be achieved by calling
UpdateSystemActivity() from an NSTimer. That prevents
the system from going to sleep when my application is
running.

However, if user manually put computer to sleep from
Apple Menu->Sleep, then there is no way to stop system
from going into sleep mode. Is there some kind of
delegate method to disable sleeping of system ?

I know we can receive NSWorkspaceWillSleepNotification
but that is just a notification, it does not stop
system from going to sleep. For my application it is
critical that the system does not go into sleep mode
in the first place.

Thank you

ADIL
