Possibly, and I take your point (and Michael's).
However there are circumstances where it creates a very ugly effect. I
have a matrix of icons and the line scroll is set to the icon height.
Half or a third of an icon clipped off is definitely ugly.
I don't know about the general trend but I pretty much only use the
scrollwheel for scrolling these days - the scroll arrows are rarely
touched. An optional setting in NSScrollView to synch the scrollwheel
to the line height could be good in a few cases, off by default.
