TypographyPanel.bundle and GC-only app

I was experimenting with some of the features of a text view and tried to pull up the typography panel from my app and got this message on my console:

Error loading /System/Library/CoreServices/TypographyPanel.bundle/ Contents/MacOS/TypographyPanel: dlopen(/System/Library/CoreServices/ TypographyPanel.bundle/Contents/MacOS/TypographyPanel, 265): no suitable image found. Did find: /System/Library/CoreServices/TypographyPanel.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ TypographyPanel: GC capability mismatch

Am I understanding this correctly to mean that the TypographyPanel.bundle won't work from within a GC-only app? Is there a way around that, other than the obvious choice of not using GC?
