This might be a stupid question, but I've searched around and found no answers. I have a CoreAnimation layer with a zPosition > 0. If its 3D transform is CATransform3DIdentity, how do I get its exact frame as it appears on the screen?

zPosition != 0 does not necessarily mean that there is any difference in the layer's frame. Unless there is a transform somewhere that creates perspective, the zPosition has no effect on the layer's frame (because the z component falls out of all the applicable equations).

What are you trying to implement?
