So this is a bug that happens on a user's machine? Can you have them
send you their installed fonts? Everything from these paths (I think):
~/Library/Fonts
~/Library/FontCollections
/Library/Fonts
/System/Library/Fonts (if they've been bad)
Wouldn't be the first time that a corrupted font has caused bizarre issues.
