Distribute font with app bundle

Hi All, I'd like to distribute a font with my app bundle, but not install it. Just load it straight from my bundle for NSTextField and CATextLayer. My googling led to only this http://www.cocoabuilder.com/archive/message/cocoa/2005/1/16/125883

but that is 4 years old, I was wondering if there is a new suggested way? or anything I should look out for?
