No; the old colloquial names still work and won't be going away any time soon, so it's not like you must use the ISO codes. In any case, I've found that Apple both does and does not want us using the ISO codes for localizations, since I have run into one with them that does not happen when using colloquial names (#7163744), and I wouldn't be too surprised if there are others.
In any case, it won't help the GP if the bundle is localized but the app isn't.
