That was exactly the first thing I tried before posting here. Didn't work => did not mention that.
I tried every possible name out there
• Latvian
• Latviešu
• lv
• lv_LV
+ for example, choosing "Latvian" or "lv" and opening that xib localization in IB gives me the correct localization name of the language, that is, in IB menu bar, Windows menu, list of open windows, there stands the correct word for "Latvian" in Latvian - "latviešu" (IB detects correctly that xib IS Latvian).

So You're saying... a no-go? Have to do everything programmatically? A bug or Apple just ignores the rest of the world ;) and solving this should be considered as "feedback for enhancement"?
