I think one of the biggest misunderstandings is that -isFlipped does
not actually dictate the flippedness of the graphics context. If a
graphics context returns YES from -isFlipped, all that means is that
the caller may presume that a flip has been applied to the CTM.

The layout manager uses this hint to determine if it needs to flip the
context its drawing context for the glyphs.
