slicing in Swift

  • Subject: slicing in Swift
  • From: "Gerriet M. Denkmann" <email@hidden>
  • Date: Wed, 07 Sep 2016 07:33:09 +0700

var numbers: [UInt64] = …

func numbers( upTo nbr: Int ) -> [UInt64]
{
	let slice = numbers[ 0 ..< nbr ]
	return slice
	//	Cannot convert return expression of type ‘ArraySlice<UInt64>' to return type '[UInt64]'

	//	workaound:
	var outCopy:[UInt64] = []
	for i in 0 ..< nbr { outCopy.append( numbers[i] ) }
	return outCopy
}

Any better way to do this?

Gerriet.
