Gamma setting for Mac 21 inch CRT Studio Display

I9m calibrating my 21 inch CRT Apple Studio Display with the Monaco system
using the new Optix sensor.

I have seen some discussion here on gamma...should I use the Mac standard
1.8 or the PC standard 2.2? I want to make images that when viewed on the
Web by mostly PC users will look as I seem them here.

Is there a reason to use 1.8????...or should I switch to 2.2???
