Are you saying from some default settings OR after you've tweaked the
various options in Camera Raw?

Ease dropping on a conversation the other night with Thomas Knoll, I thought
I saw a setting of several sliders that produced a linear transform (its not
the default).

Again I have to ask at what point you find this? I've taken some amazing
tonal data out of 1Ds files with multiple manipulations of the various
Camera Raw controls.

It's not conventional from what I can gather. It's not an ICC profile.
