Niall Coady wrote: Absolutely!, By virtue of the fact that the
system is ICC compliant. ICC Was set up to provide cross

Please also note that Praxisofts NEW Compass Profiler will offer superior
Ink Jet profiling through the use of a +1000 patch Linearisation target +
over 1500 patches to create the actual profile. The system will offer UCA
as well as the ability to profile a TD of less than 180: REMEMBER THAT
LOVELY PIGMENTED/DYE based INK for the EPSON 7500 and 9500! They will be
able to profile them! SUCESSFULLY!
Absolutely. The Mach1 is like all other Praxisoft workflow solution
products, it is COMPLETELY profile creator agnostic.
Interesting notes. I was looking pretty seriously at the Mach1 to
drive Epson 3000, Encad NovaJet Pro, and Roland 6-ink Cammjett CJ-500
printers in our shop. Then our next purchase came down the pipe: a
Roland HiFi-500 8-ink printer, which pretty much tossed the idea of
ICC compliant profiling out the window. Now I'm looking at
Scanvec-Amiable PrintServer with it's ProfileMaker package because I
need to know that what I'm working with is able to profile, exploit
and manipulate the added inks. (SA wrote the package RIPs for Roland).
Everything I've read on Mach1 to date shows me CMYK and RGB
profile-ability, and I think the prelims look great. But can anyone
show me, or demonstrate in detail, how it exploits the extra inks in
a Roland or any other 6 or 8 ink printer?
Sometimes I just don't get it till I got it.
