This will vary with the paper involved; an uncoated art paper will hold a
much higher ink limit than a glossy stock, and will need that higher limit to
produce a dark, rich black. I would suggest designing your own zebra stripe
pattern and defining it with assorted total ink limits, then seeing which
block of stripes is the highest limit not to bleed on a given paper, at a
given resolution, with a given ink (a fixed factor in your case). I've been
trying to get profile developers who offer ink limiting capabilities to
include such a file as part of their linearization target for years... what
good are the settings controls without a tool to gauge *where* to set them?
