I certainly don't wish to go down in history as the namesake of the *non* ICC
method of color managing digital images... <G> In fact it is my intention to
run series of camera profiling tests with Olympus' new E-10 in both 8 bit per
channel mode, and high bit mode, with a few brands of profiling software...
hopefully to include the one in the title of this thread, InCamera... to see
if in conjunction with the selectable whitepoints this camera offers, it
might be possible to build functional non-studio profiles. A couple of
digital cameras ago I had one that showed a decided green cast in a series
of outdoor photos, so I built a source profile for it, and it did indeed
reduce the cast.. but then on other days with what seemed to me to be similar
lighting the cast would not be apparent; so it proved to be impractical to
use a profile for improving the images. Perhaps the technology (at both the
camra and the profiling ends) has improved...
