I guess it is based on Shawns experience with these monitors. But he did add
a caveat that the black point would not be set correctly.
It is ironic that Apple can be so encouraging to the a group like this, by
giving us such a wonderful tool as ColorSync but on the other hand produce
monitors that are not able to be accurately manually calibrated and
profiled!!!
