I think it is impossible to perform good "calibration" (I mean "profiling"
certanly!) of Imation Rainbow 2730 (and other models like 2720, 2740, 4700)
with profile RGB because Rainbow system is true CMYK device. To create good
CMYK profile of it you should:
1. use any of CMYK profiler (like PrintOpen, Logo ProfileMaker etc.)
2. Print files as ColorTarget="uncorrected" and Calibration="None".
3. Perform profile to profile conversion (from press profile into Rainbow
profile) in any application that can do it (Photoshop, Logo Batchmatcher,
ColorBlind Parachut, Illustrator, etc.)
I've tried to profile Rainbow with PrintOpen3 and to make profile 2 profile
conversion (with absolute Rendering Intent)in Parachut, Photoshop,
ExpressRIP. Results are very good. But it's not the chiepest way. Sorry.
