Certain laser/copiers do something along this line, but like the ColorSync
monitors the question is *how well* they do it, and the answer is: usually
not well enough. Unless you use a spectro, or at least a densitometer, to
read the reliniarizaton target, the results from reading it on the glass of
the device will be variable enough to negate much of the value of the
reliniarization.
