Mixing up two printer ranges and ink/media combinations:
The 1270/870 Epson printers with an archival dye and suited media
didn't give the 15 or 25 year fade resistance in ozone/polluted area's.
Wilhelm's test didn't include ozone- or any other type of gas fading.
Some manufacturers test their ink on that aspect as well (Ilford, HP).
For some dyes it is known problem for at least fifty years. So Wilhelm
will change his tests accordingly. Details could be known tomorrow.
Then there's the Epson encapsulated pigment ink in the 2000p, 7500
and 9500 models. There were some figures like 200 years mentioned but if
all goes well Wilhelm will have the new numbers tomorrow. Might be
interesting for you too as rumour has it that the new Roland inks will
be the same :-)

You do not have to respond on the small correction above. It would be
convenient if you get a good view of the other side of the fence for
once in a while. It will give your statements less polarity and keep
the threads short as a result.
BTW. MAN-Roland is an old German company that makes offset presses,
that company has no relation with the Japanese Roland company that
made your printer. Nice printers though that should be judged on
their inherent qualities.
