Hi Glenn
As Proofing-Solutions with Harlequin are growing in Germany, I am
interested to analyze the problem. So
please give us some more information:
- What is the product and the version No of the proofing RIP. ?
4.5 revision 1
- What is the Version No. of the Harlequin CMM Engine ?
I don't know. I'm not on site now.
- Which program / Version No. you used to make the source and
destination profiles ?
Compass Profile 2.54
- What are the Lab-Values for the Whitepoints in Source and
destination profile ?
Source: 92, 0, 2
Destination: 95, 0, 5
- Which Intent gives in Photoshop Profile to Profile the same result
like the proofer ?
None of the intents give the same result.
- Which program you used to edit the destination profile ?
Tweak-It
- Wich corrections you did exactly ?
First time: Decrease Lightness by a little--maybe 10 or 15
Second time: Decrease Lightness by a lot--around 50
- In which part of the profile you rendered the corrections ?
Ok, now I know what the problem is with the Edits. Tweak-It only
modifies the Perceptual table, but I was working with the
Colorimetric rendering intents. I'll give Doctor Pro a try. Thanks
for asking this.
- Do you tried to make the corrections in the input profile ?
No, because this seems like a backwards approach, although it did
cross my mind.
With this informations, all the color-detectives of this list will
be better able to solve this
problem.
Looks like I have the answer to one of the questions, but I still
would like to know why the output doesn't display any change when
changing the intent in the Harlequinn RIP.
