Back to colorsync 101 for me. I have a mitsu spectraview calibrated monitor.
Mac G4 OS9.0.4 PS6. I am still having trouble understanding and
implementing the new dialog in 3.0.1. I had everything set up for monitor
calibration and things are just not right. It appears that colorsync 3.0.1
hooks in at OS level before PS setup so whats affecting what before I even
try to calibrate is my dilema.
Is there a standard I should set as input, output, RGB space and proofer
space?
Previously I was setup on a Powercomputing OS8.1 for visual old school PS4
monitorRGB (hit me!, again) on an older machine that works well (relative)
for color seps and these 2 setups are very far off.
My input scans are Drum scans or Nikon LS-2000 scans, My monitor Mitsubishi
calibrated with Profiler RGB, PS6 workingspace AdobeRGB or?, Output to
prepress CMYK usually coated.
Just when I thought I was getting closer to trusting my monitor I'm back to
colorsync 1.01. Is there a written reference to get a handle on what should
be standard starting point for this 3.0.1 dialog boxes?
Thanks,
Brett Baunton
