1) I can export IT8 target data from Printopen in Lab or XYZ, either of
which can be read into Profilemaker or Gretag's Measuretool, but I can't
read data files made with Measuretool into Printopen (which gives me an
"invalid data type" warning) and there's no options in Measuretool to save
any other type of data file. aren't IT8 data files supposed to conform to an
interchange standard?

2) any reason to not use the "big" IT8 CMYK target over the proprietary
ones, other than the obvious (and flaky) inter-app support?
