The encapsulated pigment inks in the 9500 are certainly capable of more than
a dirty brown red, if a notch shy of dye reds they still can be quite bright.
And CompassProfile, while it is not yet very sophistocated with CMYK devices,
tends to be fairly effective with RGB systems. So its odd that you should be
having this problem.

This is machete surgery... and if you have a proper profiling system should
be unnecessary. How are your reds using the canned profiles? Contact me
off-list if you would like to build a profle with a different program as a
check that your set-up is correct.
