iProof PowerRIP 2000

On my quest for the holy grail in being able to get a profilable Epson 3000/RIP, I asked before whether anyone on this list has experience with iProof's PowerRIP 2000, but got no response. After trying the demo last week, I have to say that it has a horrible dithering pattern. It's hard to believe I'm not doing something wrong because it looks so bad, but I can't find a problem with settings etc. I mean, it looks BAAAD. Does anyone have experience to the contrary? The output does remind me of the Birmy RIP (iProof's former name) that used to ship with the Stylus Pro XL.
