I'm not printing through a RIP. I'm printing in Photoshop using the Epson
driver. What is strange to me is the fact that the "texturing" or "orange
peeling" only happens with specfic colors.....light to med greens and
oranges. All blues, light and dark print perfectly. Same with the reds
except for those that are more of a medium orange. Yellows are good unless
they start to shift to orange.
I'm printing 729 patches. I'm guessing that 75% or more of the patches
print flat. It would seem to me that if I was "over inking" I would see the
problem everywhere. Instead, a blue patch that is adjacent to a green patch
prints very differently.
I've sent a sample to Epson. As of today they are evaluating the print out.
