Hmmm... what does the checkbox next to "use color management" (or
some such -- I don't have it running right now) in ColorChoice do
then?

In Version 3.0 the color management INPUT determines whether or not the RIP refers to profiles chosen in the CMYK/RGB/GRAY parameter boxes. These define the profiles/colorspaces used in the files you are attempting to print.
The Output profile (media profile) still characterizes color data to the printer through the RIP particular to the type of media you are using. To output a RAW file (i.e. a test chart for media characterization), those media profiles need to removed from the ICC Profile folder in the RIP software, it then defaults to none and, with INPUT off, data being sent to the printer is not undergoing any conversion except that which happens in the base tables defining the ink group for the printer. So, in effect: no input profile, no output profile.

Is it different for you? (I still haven't received my version 4.0!)
