Andrew,

I switched to OptCal and the DTP92 recently. My Pressview 21SR was doing
the same thing: the fron panel controls were completely void. I couldn't
even get them to appear on the screen. I trashed EVERYTHING related to
ProSense and Pressview and miraculously the front panel controls are
back. The only cable connecting the monitor to the Mac is the single
video cable. The serial cable is gone. No separate RGB cables either.
FYI, OptiCal seems to be a MAJOR improvement over the Pressview stuff.
This may not solve your problem but at least you know your monitor is
not alone in that behavior.
