I've played with the Spectrocam to profile an LCD (my Powerbook just to see
if it could). I think it's a nice piece of hardware but looking for Optical
support. Since it doesn't work within Optical, the Spyder was the way to go
for me. I've been bugging Color Vision to support the Spectrocam inside of
Optical but I can see why they may not want to. The Spectrocam I have is
serial so it raises the adaptor issues all over again. The Spectrocam does a
very nice job of making output profiles once you get the hang of it. I've
tested it with Color Vision's ProfilePro, CompassProfile and ColorBlind Pro
and in all cases, it did the job with flying colors.
