We currently use UCR with: (swop coated) @ 75% Black Ink Limit & 345%

Total Ink Limit.
Photoshop works perfectly with both. The real question is what your printer
needs for his press specific needs. If the images are normal to light UCR
generally works the best. GCR can be useful for heavy images or when you'd
prefer a sure grey balance. Problem is though if their press op backs off
the black your image will be ruined.
At 345% your no longer in SWOP spec. You are using the chromacities of SWOP
inks though if that's what you set in Photoshop.
There is a wonderful book that uncovers this and so many more serious
Photoshop production notions; ie; Real World Photoshop by Bruce Fraser.
Check out Amazon.com to see if the version 6 is ready.
