Terry,
In my limited experience with the Spyder and PhotoCal/OptiCal, I have seen that it can be
a little finicky on setting the monitor whitepoint with precal/photocal. This shows in
slight biases to the desktop grey. However, the profile it created seemed well within
tolerances compared to out Macs calibrated with Optical/DTP92.
I do not have enough data at this point to know if it is the spyder, but I do know from
the past 2 years of suing Optical with a DTP92 on various monitors that it is a fool proof
solution.
I hope others can give you more input on your problem.
