Should I calibrate my monitor
using ColorSync or Adobe Gamma? Or both? (surely not). And I don't know my
monitor's phosphors, they're not given in its manual, so can, or should I
ignore the phosphors step? Thanks for any input,
Oppinions vary on this, however, for reasons that everyone "sees different"
use software that interfaces with hardware. ColorBlind ProveIt! supports
many instruments and builds a very good monitor profile. But, as CDTobie
stated, it doesn't end there. For optimum results you will need a way to
produce an output profile, an application to edit the profile, an
application to view the profile applied to your image as a (WYSIWYG)
softproof (Photoshop 6.0, ColorBlind Edit, etc...)Look into ColorBlind
Matchbox, it is a complete Color Management Package with all the tools
necessary for your needs.
