Hmmm... So why should one choose the (brand spanking new) Eye-One
over the SpectroCam for printer profiling?
SpectroCam is $1400 with minimal software.
Eye-One Pro is $1500 with minimal software.
I don't see a big difference so far...
In neither case is printer profile generating software actually
included. In both cases you need to get the measured data into a
profiling package. At least with the SpectroCam this has been done;
how do you get the Eye-One data into a profiling program like
CompassPro 2.5??
There is, however, the "Eye-One Monitor" for $600, which seems to
include the same hardware as the "Eye-One Pro" but only promises to
profile monitors... I am soooo confused.
What am I missing?
