I want to hook up two 22" Apple Cinema Displays to one G4 and have them
soft proof the same image simultaneously. Can I connect them to the same
video card? If so, will they have to share the same display profile, and
will this result in an unreasonable mismatch between the two? How would I
do this--is there something like a "Y-connector" for the Apple Display
Connector on the G4 to hook up two monitors at the same time?
If I have to have them on separate video cards, can I get ColorSync to
allow me to use separate profiles for displaying the same image? Will this
be a software problem, in Acrobat 5 and/or Photoshop 6?
Does ProveIt work well with the Spectrolino and an LCD monitor like the
Apple Cinema Display? Is there something better?
Thanks for feedback on any or all of these questions. I don't want to buy
the displays until I find out if this is a crazy idea or not.
